Google Pay-Per-Click DEFCON Alpha!
Google Pay-Per-Click DEFCON Alpha!
If you have run are running or are thinking about running a Google Adwords payperclick PPC campaign or any PPC campaign for that matter pay close attention! This could save you a lot of money!
Id take the time to introduce myself but theres no time. Were in DEFCON Alpha and a lot of you out there are being affected!
As more and more traditional media based companies are getting into the PPC marketing space I feel the utter frustration from business owners firsthand. Im frustrated as well! There are just too many companies out there wasting your money! And I feel obligated to challenge the PPC wannabes and rid the marketing world of those that are just out to collect your money.
Look dont get me wrong. Were all out to make money and I dont blame the large companies losing market share to online marketing to try to compete in this space. What I do take issue with is that they are bastardizing what could be one of the most effective and efficient forms of direct marketing out there despite what natural SEO guys are saying Ill get into that debate later.
So how do you know what a good Google Adwords PPC campaign looks like? Next time you sit down with a rep trying to sell you on an online PPC marketing campaign ask them the following:
- Can you tell me the estimated amount of clicks on a daily and monthly basis on a list of keywords relative to my business within the specific geographical area that I service?
- Can you tell me the average costperclick that Ill pay on a list of keywords relative to my business?
- How do you determine what days/times to run my campaign?
- To what pages on my site do you direct traffic to?
- How do you measure the success of this campaign?
- How often to I receive reports?
- Do you disclose all the keywords costs and ads to me?
- What is your setup and management fee and how much of my budget is going to clicks?
- Can you guarantee that when my ad appears it will appear in the top 13 positions?
- How do you choose the keywords for my campaign?
These are just 10 of MANY questions you should ask but a great start. Any company trying to sell you a PPC campaign should be able to answer every single one of these questions in detail. At no point should the answer be we cant do that!

Building Your Web Forum And What To Do With It
Building Your Web Forum And What To Do With It
Many years since they were first introduced internet based message boards remain as important as they have always been if not even more so. With many new forums opening every day it can sometimes be difficult for a new forum to attract an audience of its own but having a game plan ready in advance should certainly help you. This article should help to get your planning under way and to give a better indicator on what lies ahead.
One of the first things you will want to do for your new forum is decide how and what you will be using it for and if you are planning to use it as a stand alone forum in place of a website or in addition to one. When you already have a website with a dedicated following it can help to generate interest in your forum right out of the box and you should generally find this route easier than if you were to try and start a brand new forum from scratch with no audience at the ready.
Another important decision is if you want to go with a forum at a pay host or if you want to try out a free forum host and contrary to what some people may say free forum hosts offer a nice starting point for new forum owners who arent yet sure if they want to invest in a paid forum which may potentially fail. Also be sure to take a look at the various types of forum software out there and see which one looks the best to you and has all the features that you want or need. Currently the most popular forum software is Vbulletin Phpbb and Invision Power Board. While Vbulletin and Invision require buying licenses which can cost hundreds of dollars Phpbb can be used entirely for free assuming that you have a hosting site to place it on. There are also large numbers of lesser known forum software many of which are also free and could be more to your liking than Phpbb.
Depending on if your forum will be used for your business or just for recreational discussions you may have different goals on what you hope to achieve out of a forum and what kind of activity level you are anticipating. Most forums have a staff of at least a few people to help out around the forum and to be there for members when you cant be. Finding willing staffers for a business forum without being prepared to pay them can sometimes be difficult so be sure that whoever you pick is reliable and trustworthy. Even nonbusiness forums are often in need of a staff to help the forums community to grow and to keep the existing user base happy and healthy.
Picking an easy to remember but unique name for your forum can also help to attract and retain members and generally shorter names are better for this but not always. You want to pick a name that people will associate with your forum so be sure that the name suits whatever your forum is about.

3 Things To Consider In Building A Website
3 Things To Consider In Building A Website
Websites are really vital in every business both in offline and online businesses these days. Websites can really help build an identity to any business in the world. It can also create a brand for the business.
There are things that you need to consider in building a website. To help you with it here are the three things that you need to consider.
Web Host
A web host is like a storage drive where the files can be stored and found. Yet this storage is not found inside your computer this is found somewhere else in the web. Thus a web host is where you can store your files of your website and make it appear on the web browser if someone enters your domain name in the address bar of the browser.
Domain Name
A domain name is the name that you will have on the internet. It is also often termed as the URL. The URL can be a combination of numbers and letters that can have as many as 63 characters. Moreover the domain name is what we type in to be able to enter the website.
There are lots of domain name extensions available .com .info .biz .us for you. But it is advisable to choose the .com domain name extension since this is more popular than the others. Also a lot of people incorporate the .com to any domain name they have in mind.
The Website
A website can be created using different kinds web programming languages. You can use PHP CSS and HTML to build the site. If you do not have any idea to do these kinds of stuff you can always seek help from a programmer to do this task for you. You can also outsource the website development phase if you want to save more money. Yet if you do not wish to own a fully dynamic and customized website and would just like to have an informational site you can as well go for a free website builder. One example of these types of sites is the blog. Blogs are already designed to be user friendly which all you have to do is tweak it a little bit to your own liking. The good thing about this type of website is it is already designed to have the “Whatyouseeiswhatyouget” feature where you are not required to key in programming codes. All you have to do is choose what you want and if you wish it to enhance more instructional videos and other tutorials are provided for you.
