The Youth Work Forums

The Youth Work Forum is the very first online community for youth workers and those working with young people all over Ireland.

This community was built to create a meeting place for youth workers and anyone else who works with young people all over Ireland. I hope from this people can come together and share ideas support each other and let people know what is going on in their projects throughout the country. The only way the community can achieve any of this is from the input of it’s members.

Other aims of the site are to comply one of the largest service directories on the net of youth services in Ireland. To publish training employment and all the latest youth work news from Ireland and beyond.

It is our hope that the ownership of this site will belong to it’s members. Any website can always be improved and your feedback as to what you feel could improve the site is most welcome.

The site is not affiliated to any youth organisation although their input would be very valuable around employment opportunities training and up to date publications. The site has no partners and is not sponsored or funded by any organisation.

At the moment we are looking for news writers to publish articles relating to youth work and young people. We hope to publish as many articles as possible to as many news sites as possible on a regular basis.

We would like to hear from youth workers from all over the world and hope to hear from you on the forums.

Setting Up A Web Page Easily

Many people would like to have websites so that they could show products they are offering or just offer people with information. These days I want to believe that the most informative place where you can get all the information you want is through the internet. The way people show what they have to offer is by having websites that have been developed by setting up web pages on them. There are some few pointers one should know when they want to set up a web page.

Before anything one has to know what the website is about. Many people believe that websites are mainly used for advertising. Well that is true to some certain extent but if you have to make your website perform well on Search Engines then you have to offer people information. This means that if you want to set up a web page for your website and you are selling car speakers then offer people information and reviews on the car speakers that you are selling. In general one has to know what their website will be about.

After establishing what the website will be about then go ahead and develop necessary content. A website is made up of many web pages. Thus when you are setting up web pages you are actually developing a website. Each page will should have its own unique content. For example in most home pages for websites they act as an introduction to the organization or the product and services being offered. It should not have too much informationjust enough content that is relevant. In the other web pages one can put as much relevant information as possible. As stated earlier content is very important for your site to be indexed highly by search engines. The more content that your web page has the highly your site is indexed and ranked.

After generating content one has to get a domain name. The best way I can describe a domain name is the words that appear after the sign on the email address or what appear between the www. and .com of a websites URL address. The domain name can be purchased from one of the webhosting companies in your local area. The domain name in most cases determines the URL address of your website. This brings me to the next point where one has to host their website. When setting up web pages your site has to be hosted on one of the servers that are connected to the world wide network which we refer to as the internet. In order for people to be able to view your website you have to be hosted on the internet.

Once you have been able to do all this then your site will be up and running. Thus people will be able to access it.
