4 Mistakes You Will Be On Your Way To Mastering
4 Mistakes You Will Be On Your Way To Mastering Adwords And Adsense
These days it comes as no surprise that nearly every online company has attempted to do keyword marketing or “payperclick” campaign on either Google Adwords or Yahoo Search Marketing. The alarming statistic is how many small business owners have stopped their “payperclick” or cut way back because they are unable to make enough sales to cover the ever rising costs per keyword.
Looking at Google’s stock price it’s obvious that keyword marketing can and does payoff for a large number of companies. The problem is most don’t have the knowledge or expertise to make keyword marketing convert at a rate that allows them to continue using the service much less expanding on it. So they end up throwing a bunch of money to be 1 for a week or a month for an ultra competitive keyword only to end up spending a ton of money and not having many customers to show for it.
Everyday I talk to new and prospective customers who are looking for professional help doing a keyword campaign that have all made the same 4 mistakes . If you avoid these 4 simple mistakes you will be on your way to mastering Google Adwords and AdSense.
First Stop Bidding on the Wrong Keywords
Most people I talk to ended up bidding on keywords that aren’t relevant to their site. As a surfer there is nothing more annoying than doing a search clicking on a link and not finding what you’re looking for. If you have an online store that only sells “oak furniture” don’t waste your money and surfers time bidding on “pine furniture” and “mahogany furniture” just because they are similar and the Google keyword wizard recommends them to you. Focus on what you have and get creative. Try buying “oak chair” and “oak table” and other relevant keywords that describe what you sell.
Second Don’t be the Number One Keyword Listing
So many keyword campaigns I get handed have the site owner paying out the nose to be 1 for a high quality keyword. I’m not sure if it’s just in our nature to be at the top or what but in “payperclick” you should ideally be around the 3rd postion. I consider the top spot to be the “Kill Zone” because all the lookeeloo’s will absolutely kill your conversion rate. So instead of paying 1.25 or 4.00 to be in the top spot just throttle back and pay about half of what the top spot person is paying to have everyone look at their site but not not buy anything. If you move back but still stay on the 1st page you will lower your “perclick” cost which will give you more margin. With the money you save use it to bid on other keyword phrases to make up for volume loss.
Third Add the Keyword Tracking Code
Google Adwords and Yahoo Search Marketing provide a snippet of code that you need to put on your site. Why? It will tell you exactly what you are spending on each keyword and when you get a sale from that keyword. It is flat out a must have if you’re going to be spending any kind of money on paid search.
Let me show you an example: You spend 1000 in the month of July on 64 different keywords on Google at an average of 0.25 per keyword that nets you 4000 unique visitors. You also get 125 sales and make 1250 in profit. All you really know is that you made more than you spent on marketing.
If you use the tracking code you would also see a correlation of sales by keyword. So you can discover which keywords are profitable and which aren’t converting. With this additional knowledge you can spend more on converting keywords and increase margin by avoiding dead keywords.
Fourth Use Google Adsense to Sell Your Traffic
Since you probably won’t be converting every potential customer that clicks on your Google Adword banner you can offset your costs by selling them. Google Adsense determines relevant Adword banners to show on your site based on the predominant keywords per page.
If a visitor to your site determines they don’t want to buy what you have they may see a relevant Adsense banner and click on it. Google Adsense pays you for every clickthru from your site. Here’s an example of how Adsense will reduce your advertising costs: You get 1534 visitors to your site in a month. Of the 1534 visitors you receive a 2.28 click rate 35 clicks on your Adsense. Google then determines an eCPM per 1000 impressions rate which in this case is 10.48. You would receive 16.08 in Google Adsense revenue.
Google Adsense will really start to pay off once you get organic search engine traffic. It also works really well for subscription based sites or similar sites that have returning customers.
Google Adwords and Google Adsense Help
There are many ways that you can benefit from both Google Adwords and Google Adsense. For most web site owners it just takes an initial setup to understand how it all flows. If you are struggling to setup or manage your Google Adwords or Adsense campaign find a reputable traffic optimization company to do this for you. The rates for these services are surprisingly affordable and will save you a lot of time money and frustration.

5 Must Dos When Evaluating An Online Business Opportunity
5 Must Dos When Evaluating An Online Business Opportunity
5 “Must Do’s” When Evaluating an Online Business Opportunity
Are you wondering which business opportunities can produce areal income and which ones are scams? Whether you are lookingfor a good affiliate marketing program or a real estateinvestment course you need to cut through the chase. With theoverwhelming promises that are out there today it seems almostimpossible to know which way to turn for real information.
I have spent the last 8 years researching testing and reviewingbusiness opportunities. Most of them have been scams or programswith lots of promotion but little potential. Here are the 5things I found to be important when evaluating businessopportunities.
1. Who is Behind the Business?
You can learn a lot just by picking up the phone and calling. But don’t be surprised if 90 of the business opportunities outthere don’t have a phone number associated with the website.2.5 have a phone number with a poor quality answering machine. And the other 2.5 have ‘slick willy’ ready to burn up yourcredit card.
Yes it will cost you a few nickels to talk with the businessowner but it is a cheap investment in your future. Here are somethings to note when you do get a live person. First ask ifhe/she is the owner. Second if they don’t have a clear websiteexplaining what their business opportunity is about ask aboutthe things you feel are missing. Remember if you do get a holdof the owner they will probably give you about 510 minutes oftheir time so know your questions before you pick up the phone.
Other tips to remember are: If they try to sell you in the firstminute they are more than likely just trying to get in yourpockets. If it is an associate answering questions ask to speakwith the owner. If someone is hiding it is either because theytruly are too busy to talk with you or they have just hiredsomeone who is adept at punching in your credit card number.
Most people who do provide a working telephone number arelegitimate but use your good instincts and ask intelligentquestions and you will learn a lot.
2. Are there any lawsuits pending?
When I have been researching different business opportunities Ioften type into Google the company name followed by the word’lawsuit.’ If there is a lawsuit pending it will usually showup in the first 20 listings. Whether you are trying to find outif the hottest real estate guru is the real deal or the latestinternet marketer the ones to avoid usually flush themselvesout quickly. One important point to remember is to verify thelawsuit. Sometimes people are slanderous and just out to make agood person look bad. It doesn’t happen often but it does happen.
3. Does the business opportunity promise you’re the World?
You’ve seen the infomercials or read the ads for businessopportunities that make claims like “Make 10000 next week andclick here to see how Bob did it! “or “Sally worked only 1 houra day and made 5000 her first week!” It is obvious they aretrying to get you to read further or act and make a purchase. And there is inherently nothing wrong with marketing. Peopleexpect to be sold. But be skeptical when the offer says you canmake a lot of money in a short amount of time. If it sounds toogood to be true it probably is. All businesses require work andhave a time period that it takes to get up and running and mostimportantly profitable. Get rich quick schemes are usuallyscams.
4. What is the guarantee?
This one is kind of tricky because there are businessopportunities which offer a guarantee but don’t honor it. Andgetting a refund can be next to impossible. You can protectyourself by using an American Express business card or go toGoogle newsgroups type in the business opportunity and see ifthere are any complaints of that nature. Again I would call andtalk with the business opportunity owner. If you see acomplaint question him/her about it.
By and by most businesses standby their guarantee. Go for thoseguarantees that exceed 30 days. And generally speaking thosethat offer a year’s guarantee are solid business opportunities.A good thing to do is print out their guarantee just in case itever changes. That way you have physical proof.
5. Ask for Proof?
Again most people make claims about their business opportunitywithout providing any proof. If you are looking at a networkmarketing opportunity the company has to provide a yearlyreport of income breakdown among its representatives. You willfind that very few network marketing business opportunities havea great number of people making a lot of money. Some businessopportunities post bank statements with important informationblacked out. This can be useful information. But for the mostpart the majority of business opportunities make claims thatare difficult to substantiate. This is where all of yourresearch comes together and you have to use your best judgment.

How To Get Your Business Indexed By Google Cheaply And
How To Get Your Business Indexed By Google Cheaply And Quickly
Not so long ago there was a booming cottage industry that catered to novice internet marketers who were in a batouttahell rush to get their websites indexed by Google.
The purveyors of those services that catered to the burgeoning getindexedquicklybyGoogle crowd usually directed internet marketing newbies to buy expensive oneway links for the duration of one month from high page rank websites or more specifically high PR web pages.
Such links commonly cost as much as 800/month not an expense for the faint of heart as you can see. But why would someone shell out that kind of money for one measly link?
MYTH 1: Being Indexed By Google Means Lots of Web Traffic
A lot of new marketers think that once they’ve got their site indexed by Google they can sit back relax kick off their shoes and contentedly watch the show of internet traffic snaking its way to their website. If you happen to have been or still are a student of this school of thought take consolation in the fact that you were are not alone not by a long shot!
How come?
Because seo practioners of the day certainly weren’t about to go out of their way to disavow such a misconception; after all it was very much in their interest to perpetuate the myth. How else would they convince you to fork over a princely sum for a mere onemonth link? Anyway here’s how the technique worked:
When you bought a oneway link on a webpage with a page rank value of 7 and above you were guaranteed of getting your website crawled by the googlebot within 24 hrs at the outmost which by proxy ensured that your site was indexed within 24 hrs. If your link was found on a web page with PR8 and above your site would be indexed by Google within hours thanks to that high page rank link!
MYTH 2: Being Indexed By Google Means A TurboCharged Dash Up The SERPs
The 2nd selling point for acquiring an expensive onemonth oneway link was the premise that your website would accelerate up the SERPs once it was indexed by Google. SERPs stands for search engine rank pages which is just a fancy way of referring to the search engine page that lists relevant websites in response to your query. Obviously the higher up the SERPs your website gets the greater the traffic flow!
But like any overinflated bubble this one too had to explode and so it did in time. With increased awareness and knowledge came new understanding of budget techniques that worked just as effectively. Besides Google effectively nullified the system by introducing the LinkAging Filter which is an algorithm tweak that negates any influence that any new link may pass to your website or blog until said link has been in place for a certain amount of time. The interval of probation varies from link to link and appears to be based upon the competitiveness of the keyword incorporated in your backlink. The LinkAging Filter hence effectively nullifies the technique of acquiring shortterm links in order to get your website indexed rapidly by Google or accelerate your website up the search engines.
Methods To Get Your Website Googled Quick And Cheap!
1. Submit an original article to a high page rank article directory; don’t forget to include a backlink pointing to your website with the anchor text of your choice! This technique works as follows: article directories are content rich sites a quality Google loves and assuming that the directory has a high page rank you can bet that the googlebot google crawler google spider it all means the same thing will crawl such a site several times a day. When the googlebot comes across your article it will continue its eternal crawl across your backlink to your site and Hey Presto You Just Got Googled! Well at least your site did.
2. The second way to get your website googled fast and cheap is by getting a backlink pointing to your site on one of the popular tagging websites which includes the likes of: 104inc.com Technorati.com del.icio.us to name but a few. The trick here is not to get lost in the sea of overpopular keywords; in other words since you’re aiming to attract the googlebot not eyeballs human internet traffic tag your website with a littleusedlittleknown keyword! Once again these sites are crawled multiple times a day and tend to have a page rank value of 8 and above!
